This is NOT a stove and should not be in a classification "stoves" It is an open fire with uncontrolled vetilation of room-air to the chimney. THis appliavce is to modern stoves as a paddle steamer is to a Formula 1 racing car, both carry a passenger just completely different.

Ampliflaire/ Roxburghshire stove

Unlike any other stove, uses boundary layer heat from the heat exchanger to increase the combustion temperature giving an incredibly clean burn and a high heating output. The stove has no way of restricting the oxygen supply to the fire, ie no door, leading to very efficient combustion. This stove is designed for wood burning, not suitable for coal.
