Review of ACR Astwood

Loving it

Alison Henshaw 8 years ago

I have the Astwood stove in my dining room, previously having a coal fire but it didn't perform how I wanted it to. I mainly use smokeless coal in my stove, it takes about an hour before the room feels the heat benefit, however when fully loaded it heats my dining room & lounge to a comfortable level; I am known for enjoying the warmth. The only negative in my book is the size of the ash pan...I wish it was deeper, as I have to empty it after each burn.

Stove expert replied: It is wise to empty the ash regularly as it should not be allowed to build up in an ashpan, if it gets too high against the grate this will shorten the grates life as air does need to circulate under it.
