A cosy home.

I toyed for sometime about removing a traditional fireplace & putting in this stove but the decision has been rewarding. The stove is easy to light, warms up the room quickly & provides plenty of heat to take the chill out of the rest of the house (3 bed Victorian terrace). It has never been necessary to have the air full open to maximise warmth, & provides incredible heat on small smokeless nuggets.
I currently burn mainly scrap wood which requires more frequent stoking, seasoned logs last well. To keep the stove in during the night a scuttle of coal with air shut in is successful.
I'm very happy with the performance, it has saved £'s from the gas heating bill & has made an old house with lofty ceiling very cosy.
Can highly recommend this product.
Stove Expert Replied: Household coal is not recommended on closed appliances and smokeless fuels are what should be used. Small stove but good heat being produced. Very cost effective.

Top Little Stove

I had to write a review for this little stove! It does exactly what I hoped it would and has turned a lukewarm kitchen/diner shunned in winter months into somewhere cosy and welcoming, and I didn't even buy a new one! It took me about a week to get the hang of the right settings for overnight burning and now burns through 9-10 hours easily on a small scuttleful of "budget" boiler nuts. In the day, before work I fill the little firebox with seasoned oak and even after 8 hours or so there's usually some embers to rev it straight back up again. I've got oil central heating but this little fella is going to save me quite a bit of money as well as giving me that "warm heart" of the home. The weather is literally freezing at present but this house is cosy (detached 50s 3 bed, council house size). Got to be the best £150 I've spent, ever!

Stove Expert Replied: The heart of any home is a good stove, lovely feed back!

Exelent Little Stove

Burns approx 25% fuel of an open fire & throws out twice as much heat.

I tried taybrite for all night burning with very good results.
When on early shift I loaded up the stove at 2000hrs, shut down the air and left it until 1430 the next day & when I raked it through there was still red coals so I cleaned out the ash and got it going again.
The stove used 3 25Kg bags over 7 Days and kept the chill off the whole house.(large detached 1930s house with extention and all internal doors left open)

Aarow Ecoburn 5

Fantastic little stove that will warm your toes on a winter evening. The stove simply works for a large living room and is extremely easy to use.
Changing the grate from wood to coal is a simple lever function and changing the ash tray is just as easy. The finish is solid and stylish with a decent sized window.
A handy feature is the adjustable rear feet to provide stability on an uneven hearth.
Can't fault it!!
