Review of Aarrow Ecoburn 7 insert
A HIGHLY RELIABLE AND WARM FRIEND
I recently reviewed this stove's little brother, the ECOBURN INSET 5.
The ECOBURN INSET 7 and 5, and the HAMLET SOLUTION 5 and 7 insets all have a very similar engineering and design. The '7' specification has a slightly larger firebox of course but the main difference in my view is that they are easier to couple to the flexi-liner, because the '7' spec does not have a letterbox outlet, and instead both ECOBURN and HAMLET SOLUTION have a standard circular 5" diameter spigot outlet. Other than this, all are very reliable, never had any warping doors or panels on any of them, they are easy to light and control the heat output. Their air convection process is efficient and they all are great to look at, with a simple, classic design which goes fine with any decorative style. As I previously mentioned in my review for the ECOBURN INSET 5, the same applies with this one: 1. A stainless steel flexi-liner should be installed [I used 904 grade in my properties]. 2. A flexi-liner wrapping should be used, either vermiculite or a blanket type of wrapper. 3. The part of the inset stove going into the wall cavity should be wrapped with a class A1 fire-rated insulation material, such as Rockwool or similar so heat is not lost through the cavity and into the chimney. I have only ever used AARROW ECOBURN INSET and HAMLET SOLUTION INSET 5''s and 7''s and I can't fault them really.- Be the first to comment
