Review of Aarrow Ecoburn 5 stove

A cosy home.

I toyed for sometime about removing a traditional fireplace & putting in this stove but the decision has been rewarding. The stove is easy to light, warms up the room quickly & provides plenty of heat to take the chill out of the rest of the house (3 bed Victorian terrace). It has never been necessary to have the air full open to maximise warmth, & provides incredible heat on small smokeless nuggets.\nI currently burn mainly scrap wood which requires more frequent stoking, seasoned logs last well. To keep the stove in during the night a scuttle of coal with air shut in is successful.\nI'm very happy with the performance, it has saved £'s from the gas heating bill & has made an old house with lofty ceiling very cosy.\nCan highly recommend this product.\n

Stove expert replied: Household coal is not recommended on closed appliances and smokeless fuels are what should be used. Small stove but good heat being produced. Very cost effective.
